Cultural Plan for Hood River County

Overall goal : Maintain and increase cultural expression by preserving and strengthening the means of producing events and exhibits featuring arts, heritage and humanities, and by increasing public access to and public participation in those events and exhibits in our communities. The Planning Committee used the results of a community wide survey as well as the community experiences of its members to develop the following priorities, strategies and benchmarks.

Priorities and Overall Strategy

Priority #1 : To promote multicultural understanding, interchange and appreciation in Hood River County by offering grants to both individuals and organizations.

Priority #2 : Support facilities used for cultural performances and exhibits.

Priority #3 : Increase visibility of cultural expression throughout the county.

Priority #4 : Increase potential access to cultural activities by coordinating the advertising, scheduling and admission to events/activities.
